Is Donald Trump just an old softie?
On Saturday, the President tweeted his forgiveness of fired White House aide Madeleine Westerhout.
What’s more, he even called her “a very good person.”
Which is inexplicable, given the fact that he — as we’re constantly told — hates women.
Then again, we’re simultaneously told he’s afraid of ’em, so maybe his graciousness is fear-fueled.
Whatever his Lucifer-based reasons, The Donald noted Madeleine had called him and apologized.
In case you’re unaware of the girl’s gaffe, allegedly — and supposedly leaked by Philip Rucker of The Washington Post — she had a few drinks and recounted to reporters at an off-the-record dinner her private conversation with the Commander-in-Chief. That would be, one in which he characterized his daughter, Tiffany, as overweight.
To be clear, Trump told press Friday that the claim was “absolutely false,” on top of “a little bit hurtful.”
And on Saturday morning, the Leader of the Free World tweeted this:
While Madeleine Westerhout has a fully enforceable confidentiality agreement, she is a very good person and I don’t think there would ever be reason to use it. She called me yesterday to apologize, had a bad night. I fully understood and forgave her! I love Tiffany, doing great!

Madeleine’s getting off comparatively easy; Trump hasn’t been so forgiving toward others:
…Yes, I am currently suing various people for violating their confidentiality agreements. Disgusting and foul mouthed Omarosa is one. I gave her every break, despite the fact that she was despised by everyone, and she went for some cheap money from a book. Numerous others also!

She must be someone who really, really knows how to apologize; as you’ve surely noticed out in the world, not everyone does.
Even with Trump’s forgiveness, his former Director of Oval Office Operations is still paying a powerful price: The 28-year-old just lost a $145,000 job.
