TV actress Alyssa Milano seems to believe she must yell into the ether on every political issue (here, here, here, and here). Problem: Respectfully, she doesn’t appear to know about every issue (here, here, here, and here). That’s not a put-down; most people don’t know about every issue. Also, problem: Other people will yell back (here and here).
On Sunday, conservative NFL star Benjamin Watson confronted Milano’s recent denouncement of pro-life laws as “catastrophic” for black women.
In response, Ben called her remarks “ignorance, racism, or some combination of both.”
White Alyssa, like many as of late, has decided the 1950’s were right: There are only two racial designations — white and non-white — and people should be categorized as such. Hence, there are just Caucasians and the new term for non-whities, “people of color.”
Speaking to CNN’s Chris Cuomo last week, she offered this:
“[Pro-life legislation] will affect the communities of color more than anything. I feel like any woman of privilege that lives in one of these states…they’re gonna be able to travel to a state to get a safe, uh, reproductive health care.. But for the women of color, for the women that are marginalized, for the women that are low-income communities, for the women that are most at-risk, these bill will be catastrophic.”
Is her Hollywood bubble so strong that she doesn’t realize white people also live in “low-income communities”?
She also asserted that “no one wants to get an abortion.”

Now here’s “person of color” Ben Watson:

In the meantime, The Daily Wire had something, I believe, interesting to say about Alyssa’s comments:
[A]bortion bans in Georgia and Alabama would save the lives of black babies more than any other demographic. And, of course, the laws have an exception for the life of the mother. So the logic that the laws are racist is flawed, to say the least.
“The majority of women who obtain abortions in Georgia and Alabama are black, making black women the primary demographic affected by 2019 abortion legislation, data show,” reported LifeNews. “Data from the Kaiser Family Foundation on reported legal abortions reveal that 60% of the reported legal abortions in the state of Alabama in 2015 were obtained by black women. Similarly, 66% of reported legal abortions in the state of Georgia in 2015 were obtained by black women.”
