I'M WITH HERd? Testimony: Bizarre Cattle-Branding Sex Cult Donated Thousands to Hillary to Curry Favor with the Clintons

How about some sex cult news? How ’bout a bit of the Hillary? How about a combo deal?

Here we go:

Former NXIVM sex cult member Mark Vicente testified in court Monday that member Clare Bronfman — an heiress to the Seagram’s rum fortune — demanded members of the weird group donate to Hillary Clinton’s 2008 primary campaign.

That would be, her battle against some Illinois senator named Barack.

As reported by the New York Post, Clare said for every participant in the nekkid association to put up the maximum amount allowed for an individual contribution: $2,300 per person.

Mark alleges Clare then reimbursed the members.

That illegal practice, by the way, creates “straw donors.”

He claims the donations were made to “curry favor with the Clintons” in an effort to keep federal investigators from sniffin’ ’round the group.

The cult’s founder — Keith Raniere — is currently on trial.

Hence, Mark’s testimony.

But that ain’t all:

As I covered in April, Kirsten Gillibrand’s family was purportedly members of the strange sex cult. Check out more here.

Here’s more about Keith and NXIVM, courtesy of Forbes:

Beginning in 1998, Keith Raniere attracted thousands of acolytes to his self-help group’s headquarters near Albany, New York, with the promise of life-transforming classes. Raniere didn’t just promise to unlock clients’ greater potential; he claimed that his methods could abate symptoms of Tourette’s syndrome and even help kids speak up to 13 languages. But in an October 2003 cover story, Forbes found that “some people see a darker and more manipulative side” to the would-be guru, saying he ran “a cult-like program aimed at breaking down his subjects psychologically” while “inducting them into a bizarre world of messianic pretensions, idiosyncratic language and ritualistic practices.”

Fast-forward 15 years: Raniere now stands trial on charges of sex-trafficking, forced labor, racketeering and other felonies related to his group Nxivm (pronounced NEX-ee-um), which grew out of his earlier group. To avoid going to trial alongside Raniere, Clare Bronfman and four other women accepted plea deals for their roles within Nxivm, which prosecutors allege was a criminal organization that coerced women, including underage girls, into sex with Raniere. Clare Bronfman, who is set to be sentenced in July after pleading guilty last month to lesser charges, could face two years in jail.

Raniere denies all charges and has pleaded not guilty. During the early days of Raniere’s trial, his defense seems to be that what happened within Nxivm was largely the behavior of consenting adults who wanted to improve their lives with the help of a coach. The trial, filled with salacious allegations of forced sex, confinement, and even the cattle-like branding of Raniere’s acolytes, is expected to last five to six weeks. If convicted, Raniere could face life in prison.
