Left-Wing Media Ignores a Great & Momentous Act by Trump, Prefers a Dumb Narrative 8,000 Miles Away

First things first: If you haven’t read this article —

Moving on:

I’ve written previously about a friend who only knows the news they get from CNN, MSNBC, and NPR.

If you asked them to list recent events, I guarantee they’d describe a very different country than you know to exist.

And why? Because the left-wing media shouts from the rooftops that which supports their preferred narrative, sometimes enhanced by facts that are not; otherwise, turns of events not in line? Crickets.

As covered by RedState’s fantastic streiff Friday, President Trump lent his John Hancock to the Executive Order on Improving Free Inquiry, Transparency, and Accountability at Colleges and Universities.

Here’s a great quote from the signing:

“Under the guise of speech codes and safe spaces and trigger warnings, these universities have tried to restrict free thought, impose total conformity, and shut down the voices of great young Americans like those here today. … Taxpayer dollars should not subsidize anti-First amendment institutions. … Universities that want taxpayer dollars should promote free speech, not silence [it].”

DJT also referenced the incredible violence enacted toward Hayden Williams at UC Berkeley. Please see that incredible story (and VIDEO) here.

Trump noted that the 19-year-old was punched in the punim:

“You turn on the news and you see things that are horrible. You see people being punched hard in the face.”

Then The Donald added:

“But he didn’t go down.”

D*MN RIGHT!

Right on — schools should teach kids how to think, not what to think.

The media? They’ve got opposite plans.

Therefore, they ignored the event at the White House and the order itself.

As per Newsbusters:

It wasn’t something that enthused the liberal broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, and, NBC) so they omitted it from their evening broadcasts. Instead, they all cheered on New Zealand for their swift movement in banning so-called “assault weapons.” So, that’s two rights the liberal media seemingly don’t like.

The evening news on Univision and Telemundo also ignored the President’s action on the free speech front, while CNN en Español’s principal evening newscast gave the story a perfunctory 30 seconds.

In sharp contrast, Fox News and chief White House correspondent John Roberts covered the story early on during Special Report.

“At a ceremony in the East Room this afternoon, President Trump took a step he hopes will ensure all voices are heard on college campuses across the nation,” Roberts reported. “In an executive order, the President directed his cabinet agencies to tie federal grants for education and research to more aggressive enforcement of the First Amendment.”

Seems par for the course.

I’d send this article to my left-wing friend, but they wouldn’t read it.

For all the Left’s recent talk of the evil of walls, some are in practice big fans: They’ve constructed some mighty tall ones, around their brains.

Thanks for helping, MSM.
