Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s presence in the political universe is an interesting one indeed. Though brand new, she seems emboldened to confidently address every issue under the sun. And one issue about which she’s apparently passionate is that of Donald J. Trump.
On Monday, the President responded notably to AOC’s criticism of him, and it just may be the Trump-iest thing you see all week.
This one moment encapsulates, I believe, not only Alexandria and how she’s presently perceived by Washington’s old guard, but the Essence of Trump.
Last week, the 29-year-old bartender socialist told 60 Minutes there was “no question” that the Leader of the Free World is a racist, and also that “he manufactures crises like immigrants seeking legal refuge at our border.”
He was asked about the comments just before leaving the White House for New Orleans.
A reporter posed, “Congresswoman Ocasio-Cortez has called you a racist.”
TRUMP: Who did?
REPORTER: Congresswoman Ocasio-Cortez.
I’ll let you watch the video for the Commander-in-Chief’s response. It’s a real humdinger.
