It’s official: Stacey Abrams accepts defeat in the Georgia race for governor. But also, it’s official: it isn’t fair.

Those dang Republicans stole another election!

Stacey made clear her thoughts in a speech Friday:

“I acknowledge that former Secretary of State Brian Kemp will be certified as the victor in the 2018 gubernatorial election.”

Okay…good so far…

But then:

“But to watch an elected official who claims to represent the people and the state boldly pin his hopes for election on the suppression on the people’s democratic right to vote has been truly appalling.”

Nosedive.

“So let’s be clear: This is not a speech of concession, because ‘concession’ means to acknowledge an action is right, true or proper. As a woman of conscience and faith, I cannot concede that.”

I’ll give Stacey one thing: when she said, “As a woman of c–” I thought for sure she was going to call herself a “woman of color,” simultaneously using the ridiculous categorization of human beings who are or are not white and blaming racism on her loss. I’m impressed that she went with “woman of conscience” instead.

But I’m also unimpressed with her anti-2nd-Amendment stance.

As I’ve covered previously, Stacey wanted to outlaw the most popular hunting rifle in America (here). Secondly, no matter how many times she was asked, she wouldn’t give a square answer on the issue of confiscation, which would be absolutely and obviously necessary (here).

Earlier in the week, Hillary Clinton couldn’t resist chiming in on the Abrams electoral uproar (here), continuing her style of making comments wholly unrooted in reality (here and here):

“If she’d had a fair election, she already would have won.”

Additionally, as I reported earlier, Ohio Senator Sherrod Brown climbed up the pole and rang the bell with this:

“If Stacey Abrams doesn’t win in Georgia, they stole it. It’s clear. It’s clear. I say that publicly. It’s clear.”

Shooting for the moon, Sherrod opted to lob a Hillary-level absurdity, followed by an accusation of racism, and doubled up on race-obsessed abject stupidity:

“They can’t win elections, ’cause there’s way more of us than there are of them. They can’t win elections fairly. They win elections by…voter suppression…in all the ways they try to scare people, particularly people of color. How they make it hard for people on college campuses, especially community college, where there are more low income people and people of color.”

NICELY DONE!

I really have to hand it to Sherrod. Here’s the gymnastics representation of the perfection of his statements’ idiocy:

Some within the Democratic Party, ironically, have a problem with…democracy.

They don’t seem to want the will of voters; they just want the will of Democrats. Generally, they appear to want legislation from the bench, and “election” by any means possible.

In her speech, Abrams specified that she didn’t want to “scheme” her way into office, and I respect the clarification; nevertheless, as for her party:

It’s no surprise they’re unwilling to accept plurality rule; they still haven’t acknowledged that Donald Trump is our President. But as they continue the striking silliness of #NotMyPresident and #Resist, the world keeps on turning. A world in which neither Hillary Clinton nor Stacey Abrams holds office.
