Impeachy Keen: The Left-Wing Media Ache for Trump's Ousting, and Yet, He Remains the Boss

No matter what else is happening in the news, rest assured CNN and MSNBC haven’t given up on their deep, desperate wish to see Donald Trump impeached.

According to Newsbusters, on Wednesday — over the span of 18 hours — the two networks uttered the word “impeachment” 222 times.

222!!!!

114 came courtesy of MSNBC, with CNN boasting the remaining 108.

During those hours, not a single program was run without mention of the word. The least impeachy shows on Hump Day were MSNBC’s The Rachel Maddow Show, CNN’s Cuomo Prime Time, and Don Lemon’s CNN Tonight, which each employed the term only once.

On MSNBC, guest host Ayman Mohyeldin asked New York Democratic Rep. Hakim Jeffries, “Should Democrats and members of Congress consider impeachment against this President?”

As for CNN, Wolf Blitzer queried to Connecticut Rep. Jim Himes, “Do you think it would be appropriate to immediately begin impeachment proceedings, based on what you’ve just learned, for example, from Michael Cohen?”

In light of Cohen’s guilty plea, Elizabeth Warren was pressed on New Day, “Is that grounds for impeachment?”

This isn’t the first time I’ve written about the topic, and I’m sure I could daily log the insane and insatiable hunger of the left-wing media to see sinister Donald Trump taken out of the Oval Office in cuffs. A few choice instances from the past are CNN’s Kate Bolduan repeatedly prodding attorney Ross Garber, in hopes he would claim the President had breeched the surface of “impeachable offenses,” and Blitzer discussing a pre-security-clearance-revocation John Brennan with Obama’s Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel:

“…That’s what John Brennan says. Treasonous. Are we talking, at least from your perspective, I assume from his perspective, impeachment?”

The Left want the Republican President of the United States out of there so badly. They won’t let go of the 2016 election, choosing instead to challenge Donald J. Trump along every step of his presidency. But the joke’s on them: with each passing day, they show themselves to be news that isn’t news at all; and the main story, most days, is “Trump Wins Again.”
