The Terminator Strikes Back on Facebook With a Powerful Lesson for the Left

Arnold Schwarzenegger fired back Friday against a social media attacker accusing the former Governator of being a snowflake.

Arnold had posted a (very elaborate!) video on Facebook the day before, questioning President Trump’s (aka “President of United States” — watch the video; it’s worth it) support of the coal industry. According to Arnie, it’s all inanity:

“It is foolish to bring back laughable, outdated technology to suit your political agenda.”

One person on Facebook attempted a takedown of the action star:

“Stick to lifting and making movies…Snowflake is a title you do not want.”

Hours later, the Terminator struck back:

“I never mind picking up new titles. Mr. Universe, Mr. Olympia, Terminator, Governor… If you want to call me Snowflake, that’s fine – it would have been a fantastic Mr. Freeze line. But let me give you some advice.”

Arnold continued with a very thoughtful response:

“If you’re going to call someone a snowflake because they believe in a different policy than you, you might want to look in the mirror. When you see an idea you disagree with, you can get angry, or you can learn. We can all be better if we don’t simply react. Pause, reflect, learn, and then decide if you still want to call someone a Snowflake. Good luck with everything.”

Whether or not Arnold is right about coal, he is right about disagreement. And his message is something the Left needs dearly to understand (see my article here).

Political debate is heating up…no, that isn’t even true. I wish it were a debate, but it is not. It is only extreme reaction on the part of the Left (like this, this, and especially this, not to mention this), responding to biased media assertions and unfounded memes. It is the kneejerk response to Satan, when the devil, in this case, does not exist. People need to learn, and to learn to listen.

Arnold may seem all brawn, but his brain is working in ways that others presently fail. And in this instance, Arnold is right.

Please let me know your thoughts in the Comments section. How’d you like Arnold’s video? Is he right about coal?
