Middle School Teacher Saves the Lives of Students in Another School Shooting

An Indiana middle school science teacher is a hero today.

A student opened fire in a classroom around 9 a.m., injuring the teacher and another student.

A seventh-grader told ABC News:

“I heard gunshots and a few screams. I was scared, I was in shock.”

According to Noblesville Police Chief Kevin Jowitt, the shooter asked to be excused from class and returned with two handguns.

“The teacher and student victims were shot in that room…the situation was resolved quickly and the suspect, who wasn’t injured, was taken into custody.”

Noblesville West Middle School student Gabbie Manns recounted her experience to WRTV in Indianapolis:

“I was thinking, ‘It’s not real, it’s not real, everything is going to be okay. … There was people crying…it was really chaos. I thought about all the other school shootings.”

Manns added that the teacher stopped the shooter.

In an interview with CBS affiliate WTTV, student Ethan Stonebraker said his teacher “immediately ran at [the gunman], swatted a gun out of his hand and tackled him to the ground…If it weren’t for him, more of us would have been injured for sure.”

An unidentified student reported there were three to five shots fired.

The teacher ordered his students to evacuate the classroom immediately.

An announcement was made over the school’s intercom system for all students to get in their rooms and barricade their doors.

As stated by CBS News, “There was a massive law enforcement response to the school.”

The conditions of the student and teacher have not yet been made public.

This teacher is a hero. Will the media report it so? It seems that his toxic masculinity saved the day.

What if he had been armed, as Donald Trump has said he should be allowed to be?

The Left may attempt to use this disturbing incident as more fuel for gun control, but it stands in the face of their claims. What legislative act could have prevented a middle schooler from possessing firearms? It is already against the law for a seventh grader to buy a gun. And yet, he had two, at school — a “gun free” zone. This should be a reminder that laws do not stop shooters who wish to do harm to the innocent. There must be another answer to the scourge of evil which plagues our world. And it should come as no surprise if that solution, in fact, isn’t found in Washington.
