Sen. Ted Cruz kills on Twitter. He’s broken the barrier from “dumb political tweet” to “savage burn” dozens of times. When he decides to bite back, he draws blood.

Earlier this week, “celebrity” Chelsea Handler tweeted about Beto O’Rourke, Cruz’s Democrat opponent in November.

I got to hear @BetoORourke speak last night and it was great to hear a candidate who cares about working families, women, immigrantion, and all while not taking money from corporate behemoths. We need elected officials who are not for sale. Go, Texas. Go, @BetoORourke

Sen. Cruz fired back with a dose of hard reality.

The liberal left and media will not understand the truth of this until the votes are counted and Ted is easily reelected. They will mock the idea that this race is not much of a race. But that’s okay. They’ll see.
