PRESS: Will WikiLeaks #OctoberSurprise 'Destroy' Clinton? ASSANGE: I've Been Misquoted A Lot [VIDEO]

The big WikiLeaks press conference, which “sources” suggested would be a release of their information on Hillary Clinton a day ahead of schedule, was instead, as billed, a review and discussion commemorating their 10 years in operation. Julian Assange made an appearance, not on a balcony in London, but by Skype to what looked pretty much like a slam poetry coffee house somewhere in Berlin.

We have three pertinent excerpts from this event. First, Assange sort of broke the bad news that despite anticipation there’d be no huge data dump.

“You have to understand that if we’re going to make a major publication in relation to the United States at a particular hour, we don’t do it at three a.m.”

Roger Stone hardest hit.

He talked a little more about the kinds of things they’d be releasing, their “publications”, mentioning upcoming leaks dealing with “U.S. elections’ and “Google” among others. Then there was a bit of Home Shopping Network:

Yeah he actually noted the discount price of the book. He pitched three more books, too.

But finally, he took questions, where naturally and at last, someone asked directly whether he was going to destroy Hillary Clinton. Short version? Ehhhhhhhh not so much.

“There’s been a lot of misquoting of me and WikiLeaks publications. In this particular case, the misquoting has to do with ‘we intend to harm Hillary Clinton’ or I intend to harm Hillary Clinton or I don’t like Hillary Clinton. All those are false.”

He blamed a desire to “personalize” what they leak, which I think translates to “Hey Roger Stone, we’re not dating. Lay off.”

He did say they would be “significant” the elections. When asked if any of the upcoming releases would pertain to Republicans, Assange did not give a direct answer.
