Ann Coulter’s new “book” has been a target of mockery all day. Rightly so. But it’s not just hilarious, it’s preposterous and sad and ugly too. Like Ann herself. Case in point:
That’s the defense she offers for this.
Because she thinks you are stupid. Also because she will say anything to stir up controversy to increase buzz about her book. But I’m not here to offer my outrage for this obviously false, gross, intentionally inflammatory passage. I’m here to solicit the outrage of someone else.
Hey Sarah Palin, any thoughts on the phrase “standard retard”? I mean, you and Ann are fighting on the same team, I just thought you might have some input on this. The kind of input you withheld when Trump mocked the disabled reporter. Why you, specifically, Sarah? Well because of this, dear.
Here’s what you said when Rahm Emanuel used the “R” word.
The Obama Administration’s Chief of Staff scolded participants, calling them, “F—ing retarded,” according to several participants, as reported in the Wall Street Journal.
Just as we’d be appalled if any public figure of Rahm’s stature ever used the “N-word” or other such inappropriate language, Rahm’s slur on all God’s children with cognitive and developmental disabilities — and the people who love them — is unacceptable, and it’s heartbreaking.
Was it heartbreaking, Sarah? Or were you just playing politics? Is it heartbreaking now? Do you think Trump was mocking the reporter’s disability? Or do you think he was doing “standard retard”? Come on Sarah. Tell us what you think.
