The most recent Trump mouth controversy is over his Second Amendment comment about Hillary Clinton, and the conversation isn’t just political anymore. The Secret Service has gotten involved, as CNN reports this afternoon.
A US Secret Service official confirms to CNN that the USSS has spoken to the Trump campaign regarding his Second Amendment comments.
“There has been more than one conversation” on the topic, the official told CNN.
The campaign told USSS Donald Trump did not intend to incite violence.
So the campaign of one major party is having “more than one conversation” with the Secret Service regarding comments made about the nominee from the other major party. Nice move, 2016. Just when we thought you’d shown all your cards.
You will, I trust, recall the crowing among Trump supporters when Glenn Beck was interviewed over his comments about a co-worker that were mistakenly taken as a threat against Donald Trump. Remember how seriously his supporters took that. Remember it when they say this is stupid on the part of Secret Service. They are fickle. Remind them.If you somehow missed the original comments, here’s a clip.
