Today is December 1st. On this date in 1835, Hans Christian Andersen published his first book of fairy tales. His most famous were “The Princess and the Pea”, “The Little Mermaid”, and “The Obamacare Website Will Work Fine in December”. Also on this date in 1913, according to the internet, the first drive-in automobile service station opened in Pittsburgh. Which leaves me wondering exactly how you got your car in to the NON-drive-in service stations. And finally, today is Bifocals at the Monitor Liberation Day, for people who wear bifocals when working at the computer. Personally, I don’t care if you wear bifocals, heterofocals or homofocals, as long as you’re using Windows. Lines must be drawn!! Below, please find today’s links and, as usual, consider this an Open Thread.
