Today is November 25th. On this date in 1950, a storm swept the eastern United States breaking records for snowfall, wind speeds, and temperatures, and resulting in over 160 deaths. Dubbed “the storm of the century”, the weather system “had the greatest contrast of weather elements in probably any storm, including the 1993 March Superstorm,” according to Weather Channel expert Paul Kocin. In global warming circles, this storm is today more commonly known as “shhh!” Also, today is National Blasé Day, or whatever.
