A Personal Note on Ken Buck

Recently I had the pleasure of working for Ken Buck on his Senate run, before he decided to run for Colorado’s CD-4. When I first met Ken, well before I worked for him, he was in the middle of his fight against cancer. He was thin, had a shaved head, and was wearing a black suit with a black tie. We spoke briefly and I quickly noticed that even though he was in a literal battle for his life, this was a man on a mission and a man who had a strong faith in God.

Once I began working for his Senate campaign in the late summer of 2013, Ken was already recovering with his cancer having gone into remission.  As we got to know each other more in the early days of the campaign, Ken’s faith, and the faith of his wife Perry, was something I really admired.

Yesterday was the one year anniversary of Ken being cancer free.

I wanted to take a moment to share some great personal news with you. Today I am one year cancer free! Thank you all for your prayers and support, they have meant so much to me and my family. And thank God for His goodness!

I too thank God that Ken is cancer free. Additionally, I thank God for putting a true example of a man of faith in my life.

Ken, I wish you all the best in not only your political adventures, but also in a long and happy life with Perry, Cody, and Kaitlin. God is good and faithful.
