Trump Defies His Advisers, Once More, and Attacks Validity of Stormy Daniels Sketch

President Trump had a lot of crazy to spread on Twitter, this morning, and most of it, as usual, was the kind of crazy that is easily unraveled for those who actually pay attention.

He began his Wednesday morning Twitter rants by attacking the reveal by his former porn star mistress, Stormy Daniels, of a composite sketch of the man she claims threatened her in 2011.

Daniels and her lawyer, Michael Avenatti, unveiled the sketch on The View Tuesday, along with a $100,000 reward for information on the identity of the person (with the majority on social media thinking Tom Brady was the culprit).

Daniels says the alleged threat took place in 2011, shortly after she had agreed in May of that year to sell her story about the Trump affair to a magazine for $15,000. In a previous interview with Anderson Cooper on CBS’s “60 Minutes,” Daniels said she was in a Las Vegas parking lot preparing to head into a fitness class when a man approached her and her infant daughter.

“A guy walked up on me and said to me, ‘Leave Trump alone. Forget the story,'” Daniels told “60 Minutes.” “And then he leaned around and looked at my daughter and said, ‘That’s a beautiful little girl. It’d be a shame if something happened to her mom.’ And then he was gone.”

Oddly enough (or maybe not), there was a similar incident of a threat made in a phone call to an attorney in New York, after bankruptcy proceedings began against Trump’s casino business in 2009.

“My name is ‘Carmine’ I don’t know why you are f**king with Mr. Trump but if you keep f**king with Mr. Trump, we know where you live and we’re going to your house for your wife and kids.”

The attorney felt the caller was Trump’s bodyguard. The FBI traced the number the call came from back to a pay phone across from the Ed Sullivan Theater, in New York. It also happened on the same day Trump and his entourage were there taping a segment for David Letterman’s show.

What a wacky, wild coinky-dink.

Either way, Trump is not in a position to say that this person in the sketch provided by Daniels is “fake.” We already know Michael Cohen paid Daniels $130,000 in 2016, to keep quiet about the affair she had with Trump while his third wife was home with their newborn son.

We also know Daniels took a polygraph test about the affair back in 2011 and passed.

Trump’s advisers have reportedly told him to stay quiet about all the Stormy hub-bub. It’s almost like they don’t know the man they’re “advising.”

He has no impulse control.

I’m actually waiting to see if anyone connects the dots with this sketch and the previous report of someone being threatened, in service of Donald Trump, opening up a whole, new, ugly chapter in the short history of our republic.
