Concern troll, or simply a troll?

After CIA Director Mike Pompeo called a news conference and absolutely OBLITERATED Julian Assange and his file sharing site, WikiLeaks, Trump pal and perennial wart on social media, Roger Stone, felt necessary to defend the site.

Stone took to Newsmax (one of the few outlets that can bear his stench, these days) to voice his protest:

In an interview with Newsmax Stone blasted CIA Director Mike Pompeo for calling WikiLeaks a “a non-state hostile intelligence service.”

“There is no evidence to that whatsoever. What that tells me is that the bureaucrats … in the CIA are spinning a BS narrative. And that Mr. Pompeo is so dumb that he is buying it,” Stone said.

Stone has previously admitted to having communications with Guccifer 2.0, thought to be a Russian hacker, responsible for the files released by WikiLeaks that blew the lid off of the 2016 election for Democrats. Those documents revealed a plan to undermine Bernie Sanders, in favor of Hillary Clinton, angering all the Bern victims and disheartening those Democrats who were still undecided.

Stone said in March that he has a “perfectly legal back channel” to WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange.

Stone in October appeared to have foreknowledge that WikiLeaks would be releasing the hacked emails of Hillary Clinton’s campaign chairman John Podesta, cryptically tweeting “Wednesday@HillaryClinton is done. #Wikileaks” days before the first release.

Stone further seems to be unmoved by the curious fact that WikiLeaks never seems to target the Russian, Chinese, or Iranian governments, for example, but is overly concerned with revealing information from the American government.

Whether it’s revealing troop movements that get American servicemen killed or tossing a huge rock into the pool of mistrust that already exists between American citizens and the American government, Assange seems to think his cause is noble.

Some consider WikiLeaks to be simply Assange, and Assange to be an agent for Russia.

Pompeo’s roasting of WikiLeaks and also, Edward Snowden, was epic.

Speaking Thursday at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, Pompeo called Assange a “fraud,” someone with no “moral compass” and a “narcissist who has created nothing of value.”

He asserted that Assange and former National Security Agency staffer and famed leaker Edward Snowden “seek to use that information to make a name for themselves” and they “care nothing about the lives they put at risk or the damage they cause to national security.”

Pompeo went on to point out that because of Snowden’s activities, more than 1,000 foreign targets knew to change their communication habits, in order to thwart U.S. intelligence.

“The bottom line is that it became harder for us in the intelligence community to keep Americans safe. It became harder to monitor the communications of terrorist organizations that are bent on bringing bloodshed to our shores.  Snowden’s disclosures helped these groups find ways to hide themselves in the crowded digital forest,” he said.

He also pointed out that Assange makes common cause with dictators, and this is true.

“It is time to call out WikiLeaks for what it really is: a non-state hostile intelligence service often abetted by state actors like Russia,” Pompeo said.

Somehow, Stone just can’t handle this bit of truth.

“In all honesty … I think he should resign,” Stone told Newsmax of Pompeo’s comments.

“I really think he should resign. This really raises questions about his qualifications and his ability to do the job.”
