In covering Joe Biden, we've seen a lot of unhinged and bizarre things from him.
But I don't think I had Joe Biden suggesting his uncle was eaten by cannibals on my bingo card for Wednesday. And he did it multiple times in his effort to somehow say he was more appropriate to lead the military than former President Donald Trump. But if you're making up stories even about your own family and telling a debunked story about Trump to make your point, then it makes a point alright—one more reason to vote for Trump.
Biden, for the third time in less than 24 hours, tells the dubious story about his "Uncle Bosey" and "a lot of cannibals" in New Guinea before repeating the debunked "suckers and losers" hoax.

He also claims D-Day was on a Sunday (it was on a Tuesday).

Now, one would think Biden telling this crazy story about his uncle and being so wrong in all of the details might prompt some media reflection on the issues with Biden. This is concerning stuff and as I noted earlier, add that to the other troubling things he was also saying while he was in Pennsylvania.

So what did the media say?
The AP's response is every reason why we hate the media now, as they went all in on trying to downplay it, but in a way, they also accidentally did Biden in. He's just "off on the details," folks.
Biden is off on details of his uncle's WWII death as he calls Trump unfit to lead the military https://t.co/bJ0wphhJwy
— The Associated Press (@AP) April 18, 2024
So just to reiterate, those "details": His uncle wasn't shot down, he wasn't a pilot, he wasn't flying reconnaissance missions, he crashed in the sea and was not recovered. Cannibals never had anything to do with the story. And how weird are you when you add that to your uncle's story to make it more dramatic? You're insulting your own uncle and diminishing his real achievements for drama. His uncle's honorable service doesn't make him fit. All these falsehoods show he isn't fit. Almost nothing that Biden said was correct apart from that his uncle's plane did go down in/near New Guinea.
The story claims he "misstated" the details, and they also don't note the Trump officials who debunked the "suckers and losers" story.
People let the AP hear it for their horrible effort, with some asking what they were willing to do to lick Joe Biden's boots.
My uncle Tuskegee dropped the A bomb and then was shot down by the Japs. We never heard from him because the natives ate him

“off on details” — the “detail” in question is whether his uncle was eaten by cannibals https://t.co/KApFQZmZRJ

Biden is off on details. Also known by its street name “straight up lying” https://t.co/w9zlEe3QVc

But they were actually right about something, and whether or not they meant it, they accidentally did him in. He is most definitely "off" — on the details and so many other things, as we see day after day.
