Hunt’s a former general in the LA National Guard and state official, which gives him a pretty interesting perspective on this mess:

Downer has been out of office for awhile, while Landry just ran for state Senate in 2007. I like both of them. Landry is younger and a rising star who could be strong statewide in a few years, but I like Downer for his National Guard service. I support Downer, but I would love to see either man in congress.
