Exactly the same thing was going on between The OMessiah and the Right’s birther element. He probably had an entirely different moment and a different opportunity to take advantage of planned for the Right before he was to release it. Fortunately, that moment is now gone. Its up to the Right to get its act together, coordinate and plan a way to cook this arrogant little man whose nose is always in the air’s goose in a pot of our choosing.

I thought when Trump started spouting off ab it on all the talk shows that it was going to force Obama’s hand, I’m surprised he got it out of him this early. I know Trump is a cartoon character but he is a smart guy and he was able to make normal people say, geese why doesn’t Obama show his birth certificate? I just learned ab this whole illegal deal in Hawaii thing today which is funny bc I thought I was up to speed on the whole deal. I had no idea you couldn’t photo copy your own birth certificate. It seems reasonable now to me that he hadn’t gone to the trouble to release it, plus it made right wingers look crazy.

Anywho I’m happy Trump forced the issue bc now it is settled. The only people left who will believe its a forgery will be your super-crazies that are 9-11-truther-ish that no one will pay attention to.

I have been sick of this issue bc it’s been tied to the Tea Party by the MSM. Now that this is settled they will have to rely on old faithful “Racism” (closet Racism, I mean just look at them they’re white! They have to be racist!). Make no mistake, Tavis Smiley has alrighty started the conversation, 1 cheap tactic in the next election will be “vote for Obama or you’re a racist.” They didn’t really have to use this much last time, but hey anything that works.

The document he released will not satisfy the birthers and, in fact, will just add fuel to their fire as they attack every nit. As such, I doubt we will see much change in the polling on the issue.

Further, in that the document released doesn’t appear to have anything that would have precluded it from being released a long time ago, Obama just looks like a fool for allowing it to balloon into a legitimate political issue. Legitimate in the sense that the issue finally rose to be part of his political persona.

A large part of the reaction seems to be. “there’s nothing there. So why didn’t he do this sooner?” This is coming even from the left. This tells me that even they believed that there was something in the birth certificate that needed to be hidden. They didn’t truly believe in their own messiah.

Both Obama and the liberal media snob their noses at issues they call sideshows. Obama has been called out for the fool he is and now Obama has been weakened by Trump. When a president gets called out by a potential candidate it weakens him. Screw liberals and the media zealots. George W. Bush had to answer to the draft dodger allegations during the election. Obama should have settled this as should the media who should have investigated and reported in detail during the election. Instead they all snobbed their snot noses at it. In so Obama has been weakened, its his fault!

Now he can say to those requesting his State Senate papers, “professor” papers, law review papers (if any), and college transcripts, that he’s tired of the nonsense, and won’t release anything else. The only nonsense request was indeed for his birth certificate. The rest are very legitimate and relevant questions.

He’ll still have to fend off the natural follow-up question of why he won’t release other records, since he released his long form birth certificate. This was his best hand to play, and for a total fraud, he played it as well as he could.

I think that’s the most like reason. My first thought when I hear he was doing it was to wonder why he gave up his best way of making the right look crazy. It could be the birther issue was starting to be worse for him than the GOP, though I have my doubts that that is the case. But now just recently several birther bills are looking like they will soon become law in certain states. Therefore he had to do it sooner or later to be on the ballot in those states, and by doing it sooner it doesn’t look like state GOPers forced him, he did it of his own free will, or at least it looks that way. The only one who can claim victory is Trump, and he’s no threat to Obama.

Caveat – I believe, for the reason that his mother was an American citizen, that the President is “natural born.”

I apologize if I missed a post, but WHY are there layers in the PDF that the WH produced? In the very least it looks like some manipulation occurred (whether it was malicious or not, not judging either way. Just seems strange that the “manipulation” factor would even come into play.

SO the question is why – since it is clear to me through his mother’s lineage – that President Obama is an Natural Born Citizen – why would these anomalies be witnessed in this electronic release?

although I don’t agree with any of the hypotheses that he was born in Kenya or Canada, it did seem reasonable to me that a candidate for Senate or Congress or President be asked to provide a birth certificate that contains the same information that anyone else is asked to provide. That’s it. They work for me. I am tired of being labeled something as if I had two heads and an IQ of 12. Why should we not determine what a US citizen is and what a natural born citizen really is? I don’t care who it helps/hurts/promotes/antagonizes/patronizes etc etc. The scoffing and mocking yesterday from the POTUS to the conservative media was really something to behold. No well disciplined young (prob.) woman clerk who had taken office practice in her high school would make such blunders on an important document like a birth cert. She would get fired.

The founders wanted to prevent dual citizenship (dual allegiance) from anyone occupying the White House, especially as Commander in Chief. Hence they used the term “natural born citizen” which was defined in the “Law of Nations” which they used and often referred to. Read Vattel’s treatise about native and natural born citizens.
One must be born on a Country’s soil by parents (Plural) who are citizens of that country. His father was a Kenyan, which was a British Crown Colony at the time. So Obama’s father was a British subject, totally disqualifying him for the Presidency. NOTE: He was also later adopted and in order for him to attend school in Indonesia h had to be a citizen of Indonesia, which he was by virtue of the adoption. So at that point he lost any claim to American citizenship as well as his British citizenship. That alone would disqualify him as well.

It has always been about the CONSTITUTION. The Constitution either means what it says or it means nothing at all. I signed into Redstate today for the purpose of making the point that conservatives still don’t grasp all the rules of the game. This post saved me a lot of writing.

As the writer states in other words, in politics facts only matter to the extent the voters “want” them to matter. The Bush analogy was one I planned to use. GWB became as unpopular as he was because lies were told about him over and over and over. Even Republicans came to cringe at his visage, not so much for policy reasons, but because he was so viciously DEFINED by his enemies.

For these reasons I believe many conservatives have been off base in their attempts to shut down the “birthers” with ridicule. Redstate’s ban on “birtherism” is understandable and correct because the site would not benefit from the association, but the cause of conservatism does benefit from that which tarnishes Obama’s undeserved sheen of respectability, competence, and knowledge.

The truth is that this “Birth Certificate” everyone seems giddy over would not be accepted by the U.S. Passport Office for issuing a standard passport. A Certificate of Live Birth is NOT an official Birth Certificate. The federal government made my wife and I write to the place of our birth and obtain, for a fee, an original, certified, Birth Certificate to obtain a passport in 1999. The kind of document released by Obama (and known about for a long time) was NOT acceptable as proof of citizenship by our own government. This whole thing is an amusing fraud. I have asked my legislators to push legislation to require that every presidential contender offer real, official proof of citizenship, a certified Birth Certificate, before placing anyone’s name on a future ballot, beginning in 2012. This sad debacle should never be allowed to happen again.

Exhausted that this issue continues to linger. I know I am tired of it.

As a lifelong conservative-libertarian going all the way back to the Barry Goldwater campaign in 1964 when I was kid I defer to NOBODY in my opposition to the Marxist Obama and his policies. Regardless of WHERE Obama was born geographically (Biloxi Mississippi, Honolulu Haawii, or Timbuktoo) he was born to a MOTHER who, though a loony Marxist, was an AMERICAN CITIZEN. John McCain was born in Panama but was as much an American as Abraham Lincoln. The operative word is CITIZEN and his mother WAS. It is the womb from which he emerged NOT where that womb was at the time located.

Thus he is qualified for the presidency, disaster though he is. Perhaps we may now forget this diversion into conspiracy theory worthy of the 9-11 “truthers” who believe that G W Bush either caused, or knew in advance about the attack on the USA and focucs on the deficit, destruction of our free market economic system, destruction of our constitutional republic and our liberties, not to mention the hideous Obama economy. Constitutional requirements for being the President do not matter. It’s just a minor glitch. Does the Constitution matter at all? I confess to being stupid enough to think that what the Constitution requires was important. So you’re right. Let’s just drop it since the “document” just produced is the same old worthless piece of paper that won’t get you or me a drivers license. No big deal.

I have to deal with people’s motivations on a daily basis and I think you have hit this as close to the mark as any person can.

It will be extraordinarly hard for any supporter of our President to admit that they were wrong about his character, politics or capabilities, because to do so would be an adission that they have something personally wrong with them. I run across this problem with people all the time. They equate making a simple analytical mistake with something being wrong with their personhood.

It is only when a person can change an erroneous belief that they personally grow. This is at the core of the problem with the typical modern liberal. They come into adulthood with certain erroneous beliefs and cannot find it within themselves to see their error. Therefore they stay stuck. This also explains why so many of them continue to speak and act like spoiled children.

Clearly he is from another planet with an advanced society that is dependent on hydrocarbons, hence his insistence that we not use any of the oil located here in the US.
