Let’s review the recent history of Sarah Palin’s endorsements. First, she got a Democrat elected in Alaska over a purely personal (and moronic) beef with the Republican nominee. Then, she helped get one of the Democrats’ biggest donors, Donald Trump, nominated as the GOP presidential nominee in the most obvious Trojan Horse operation in history. Now, she is trying to defeat the Republican Speaker of the House because he is insufficiently friendly to her Democrat buddy Donald Trump:

Washington (CNN) Sarah Palin will work to defeat House Speaker Paul Ryan by backing his primary opponent in Wisconsin, the former Alaska governor told CNN’s Jake Tapper.
Palin said in an interview that airs Sunday on “State of the Union” that her decision was sparked by Ryan’s bombshell announcement to Tapper last week that he wasn’t yet ready to support Donald Trump, the Republican presumptive nominee. Palin endorsed Trump back in January.“I think Paul Ryan is soon to be ‘Cantored,’ as in Eric Cantor,” Palin said, referring to the former Republican House majority leader who was ousted in a shocking upset in 2014 when challenger Dave Brat ran to his right in a Virginia primary.
I’m not a humongous Paul Ryan booster by any means, but the only thing I know about his primary opponent Paul Nehlen, is that he has happily aligned himself with the nutjob chorus of Trump, Palin, Coulter, et al. That would be enough for me to oppose him, if I lived in Paul Ryan’s district, regardless of what I thought of Ryan.
One other thing Palin said deserves notice, if only because it’s so moronic:
Palin speculated that Ryan’s announcement was driven out by a desire to seek the White House in 2020.“If the GOP were to win now, that wouldn’t bode well for his chances in 2020, and that’s what he’s shooting for,” Palin said.

If Paul Ryan wanted to be President, he could have run in 2016. He was fresher in people’s minds, there was no GOP incumbent – all the things Palin notes were all the more true in 2016 than they would be in 2020. If he wanted a non-incumbent race to run in, the obvious choice would have been to run in 2016 instead of involving himself in some bizarre conspiracy to torpedo the GOP nominee in 2016 just to give himself a chance in 2020.
I’m embarrassed to have ever written a kind word about this clown.
