The Hill is reporting that there is a battle brewing over between The Blaze and recently booted host Tomi Lahren over her Facebook page and it’s 4 million followers.
Lahren was reportedly permanently banned from the conservative news outlet earlier this month. The Blaze owns her Facebook page and founder Glenn Beck doesn’t want to relinquish it, according to TMZ.
But Lahren tells The Hill that “negotiations are ongoing.”
Lahren was removed from The Blaze after an apparent overnight conversion from “abortion is murder” to “keep your laws out of my uterus” alerted Glenn Beck to the possibility that her principles might be as squishy as her book-learnin’. She had her pro-choice epiphany while she was a guest on The View so she either lacks the courage of her convictions or the convictions themselves. That’s what you get when you try to make a newbie into a thought leader.
On March 20, Lahren tweeted that she has “moderate, conservative, and libertarian views.”
“I’m human. I will never apologize, to anyone, for being an independent thinker,” she wrote.
Beck, a former Fox News host, shot back at Lahren: “Wait, libertarian views? Help me out on Trumpcare, stimulus, and executive orders. Trump is anything but libertarian,” he wrote, while adding the hashtag #intellectualhonesty.
A recently created Facebook page called “The Real Tomi Lahren” has already amassed more than 20,000 followers. Lahren told The Hill that the page is fake.
Some might argue that the page she built while at The Blaze is fake as well.
However this fight ends, I have to say that I’m disappointed in you, America. Four million of you saw fit to like the pseudo-conservative, Trump pom pom girl’s Facebook page. You know who you are. I want you to go to your room and think about what you did.
