I know this isn’t exactly the best place to post it, but this is where it will get the attention it needs. Erick, we need this on the front page. Listening to the President on the radio tonight, I was struck by a couple of things:

1) I really have a hard time these days countenancing the sound of Obama’s voice. Literally. It sounds like he’s got half-chewed hot-dog shoved behind his back molars, and the way his “S’s” come out so sharp and long, they take on the tone of a band-saw cutting galvanized roofing.

2) I am really tired of jargon. This man is a walking cliche, or, rather, those that program his Tele-Promp-Ter are walking cliches.

3) Does this man REALLY think he has any credibility with the American people anymore? Does he really think he can sit there and lavish praise on our beloved, magnificent Armed Forces when most everyone remembers his fiery vitriol against them during his intramural Senate career? Does he really think we don’t remember he wanted to make veterans PAY for their own battle-incurred medical expenses, while he is claiming his administration is rolling out the Red Carpet for the VA like never before? And finally, does he really think you can on the one hand have flexibility “on the ground” for a war, and on the other, a timetable to end it? I shake my head…

The words of this president stand on their heads. He is a liar, a dissembler, a con man. America knows this.

Can there be such a defining, historic quote from tonight’s presidential address? We scratch our heads. No wonder Robert Gibbs hemmed and hawed when directly asked five times if the President would thank Bush would be thanked for the success of the surge.

I can’t. I can’t abide the man. 2009 was enough, he was on every TV network all the time, there was no place to hide. I’ve had my fill of Obama if I live to be 110.

A clip on the news here and there I know I can’t escape, but I refuse to have him speaking longer than that on any media in my home.

we watched a program about snakes on the animal channel. We can’t stand his policies, actions or narcissism any more and will wait for the sound bites.

“gave into emotion” or “followed the teleprompter cue”?

Call me cynical, but the last Democratic President’s “emotional display” comes to mind…

His post speech TV show ratings will be higher than POTUS’s speech ratings.

I don’t know anyone who can actually listen his idiocy anymore.

If you play the video in fast forward, you will see that the only movement during the entire speech was his mouth.
Occasionally there was a bob or weave of the head. BUT, nothing else moved. Not his shoulders, not his arms.
Not even his chest.

I have to ask, was this an “Obama-headroom” on the tube last night. I don’t think it was even a person in the chair. More like a combination of madame tussauds and Walt Disney animated wax figure.

Properly pegging the man gets curiouser and curiouser

NewsMax has an article of interest today.

An excerpt:

OBAMA: “Unfortunately, over the last decade, we have not done what is necessary to shore up the foundation of our own prosperity. We have spent over a trillion dollars at war, often financed by borrowing from overseas. This, in turn, has shortchanged investments in our own people, and contributed to record deficits.”

THE FACTS: This is partly true. For sure, the costly Iraq and Afghanistan wars have contributed to the nation’s budget deficit — but not by as much as Obama suggests. The current annual deficit is now an estimated $1.5 trillion. But as recently as 2007, the budget deficit was just $161.5 billion. And that was years after war expenses were in place for both the Afghanistan and Iraq conflicts.

Most of the current deficit is due to the longest recession since the 1930s. It has seriously depressed tax revenues while increasing costs to the government — including social safety-net programs such as unemployment insurance and spending by both the outgoing Bush and incoming Obama administrations on stimulus programs and on bailouts of banks and automakers.

Anyone notice all the time he takes off? He’s become the Obama of talk show hosts.
I write that as one who’s been listening to him for 22 years. Not that he hasn’t earned the right to do what he wants, but it appears his interests lie elsewhere now.
Plus I can’t stand his substandard fill-in hosts.

Virtually all the TV we watch is recorded and we fast forward through the ONE’S appearances. The first time you saw this guy give a speech, you thought this clown doesn’t know what he’s talking about but he delivers a good speech. But then he gives another one and another. No matter what he’s talking about, it’s the same delivery. Whether it’s the few times there is soaring sentiment or a nicely constructed phrase, or he’s talking about buying ice cream, the voice, the gestures–or lack of them–is exactly the same. The only time he’s animated is when showing sneering disdain for some Americans.

George W. was a poor public speaker, but he gave better speeches. He actually cared about what he was saying and it showed. Obama acts like someone who has no real feelings and is just playing a part, like someone just pretending to be human. Steyn is on Rush right now.

Remember he was sick and rushed to hospital. He got married. He attended a funeral of a close friends son. So there’s 3 times that wouldn’t really be considered just a vacation. This last time would really be considered a vacation. I miss him to. The only stand in I like is Mark Levin the rest make me turn off the radio. It just goes to show no one can do Rush’s show like he can.

As for Obama, I turn off the TV or turn down the volume on the radio every time his voice or face is on. One of my favorite phrases for people I consider evil is “I hope they burn in Hell”. With Obama I figure that’s to good for him.

This guy is a xxxxer-head if I ever saw one. He will not take responsibility for anything, always blames some one else. I turn him off after about 2-4 seconds because if I listen longer I feel the need to throw up.
The most dangerous place to be is between him and any kink of camera.

Should be any kind of camera.
