I live in Taylor MI.. approximately 7 miles from you. Our state is in disarray, have you been paying attention? The republican party has never been the party for the rich, that is a democrat talking point that unfortunately has been accepted for years. For the sake of argument, let’s agree that the Republicans are the party of the rich and the Democrats are the party of the poor.

This means that it is in the Republicans’ best interest for everyone to be rich because they will vote Republican. What does that mean for Democrats?

Cathy, here’s a tip. If you write an insulting e-mail to a blog where the participants are the very ones you insulted, the replies you get are very likely to be something other than sweet nothings and XOXOXOXO. See how that works?

You may despise us through and through, but conservatives would rather work for what we earn than be totally dependent on our government for everything.

We would rather take the obstacles that exist in life and face it as a challenge than to wallow in feeling sorry for ourselves over some perceived violation of our “rights”.

We would rather follow the path of what is morally and ethically right than to follow the path of political correctness that is “deemed” for us by our government.

When times get really tough, which we aren’t even close to that yet but it is coming, it will be mainstream conservatives who keep this country from falling apart, not the political class.

than most liberals I know about her beliefs. Most simply assume straight away that if you are conservative, you are evil. Honestly, she’s far and away one of the more civil ones I’ve seen, both in real life* and on the internet.

*Most are quite nice when talking about non-political things, but they are ignorant when they talk about politics, and it shows.
