For the last eight years (at least) we’ve watched the MSM turn a blind eye to shenanigans of the left that would have had them screaming for impeachment if they’d been done by someone on the right. We’ve alsmost gotten used to the double standard, even when it’s reached breathtaking heights under the Boy President. The MSM ignoring stories that don’t fit the narrative has actually become, as they say in the media, “dog bites man” stories here in the blogosphere.

With this case, though, they’ve crossed another line – if the racial roles had been reversed and the Bush DOJ had turned a blind eye on someone screaming “kill black babies” in front of a polling place, it wouldn’t have just been the left and the MSM calling for heads. If this had happened under Bush, just about every conservative in the country would have abandoned the president in droves, and very likely joined in the call for impeachment. There’s no excuse for this sort of racially-charged voter intimidation, black OR white, but the only thing worse is a racially motivated malfeasance in office.

Of course, the MSM silience on this doesn’t necessarily indicate a double stnadard. It’s very likely that they simply can’t fit this story in around the rumors of Jessica Simposon’s new beau, or the personal sadness of Michael Jackson’s kids.
