There was plenty of distemper following the election in November, but since President Trump was inaugurated, the Democrat party has been in a state of utter disarray. Like the song says, the opposition party has 99 problems - and probably more - so it is amusing to see a struggling party, with an approval rating low enough to store wild game, dropping the sum to sign a blue-chip quarterback to learn how to appeal to a common segment of the populace.
As Nick Arama covered here, the party is unmeshed in a desperate effort to repair its standing, and they are currently convening at a luxury resort and dining like elitists in order to get in touch with the blue-collar electorate they lost favor with over the years. As Nick put it, “What a way to show you understand the working class and men by hanging out in luxury and studying men like they're alien entities.”

Now for full disclosure, I have not been formally trained in sociology, but I might have been able to save the Democrats that small fortune and pay me 10 percent of the $20 million in order to fix things. Cut me a $2 million check, and I would deliver my speech: "Just Stop."
Look over what they have presented to the nation as the apex of male representations. How many times have we watched examples of Democrat men standing beside a barbeque with an absent familiarity akin to being at a Mayan altar? Tim Walz was sold as typifying the masculine ideal while displaying kick-line theatrics on stage. He supposedly represented hunting culture while being incapable of loading a skeet rifle. “Coach” was seen drawing up plays on a whiteboard that would see his squad getting stomped at a flag football game.
During the campaign the Democrats repeatedly came up with attempts to appeal to males that looked as if they learned about them from a Wikipedia entry. They ran an ad to convince men they could vote for Kamala in secret, showing parody versions of “MAGA men” who cast a vote for Kamala on the sly. We were fed a report that Kamal’s milquetoast husband Doug Emhoff was a sex symbol. (Hint to Democrats: Real men do not impregnate the help, nor beat on their women.) They formed the group White Dudes For Harris, led by a cadre of Hollywood beta males trying to make it seem cool to be a member of The K-Hive. Then there was the most revealing example of how lost they were on the topic.
In a commercial spot presenting a variety of what they considered male archetypes, a collection of actors posing as their version of male ideals gave a scripted lecture on what “real men” do, and how this would lead to a “real man” voting for Harris. It was directed by a name from the “Jimmy Kimmel: Live” talk show, to give an indication of how this went off the rails. It was the embodiment of the term “cringe.”
The Democrats are spending $20 million to figure out how to reach male voters.

Let’s recall when the party that currently has David Hogg as its Vice Chairman put out this ad during the campaign, hoping to lure men to their side.

There is absolutely zero mystery as to how it is that the Dems have lost any traction with young males. For a generation the party pushing “toxic masculinity” has curried favor with feminism, told men that their very existence is a threat to humanity, made testosterone something on par with greenhouse gases, and demonized most aspects of the culture appealing to males. The Democrats have been on a bizarre quest to reclassify what constitutes masculine culture, and now appear puzzled why men are repelled.
Watching sports leads to spouse abuse, drinking beer inspires sloth-like regression, eating meat destroys the planet, driving trucks is anathema to the desire for EV conversion, and basically anything else pleasurable or positive has been denigrated as a MAGA-inspired activity that needs to be condemned.
For generations now the Democrats have been on a quest to diminish and demonize anything masculine-related, and seemingly the only males they support are those posing as women and demanding they be treated as a prom queen. Now they are spending lavishly to learn new things about this mysterious sector of the population.
Here is step one for Democrats: If you want to begin understanding and appealing to right-leaning men, it would be very helpful to meet some at any point in time. Otherwise you will be a party beholden to the Chuck Schumer and Gavin Newsom impressions of what constitutes “real” men; it will be a real long time before they figure out this mystery.
