Man, I agree with others, it looks like they tried to make it look like any other room in the house, specifically a den or living room.
I’m not one for pomp and circumstance, for ritual or impressive display, but there should be a certain level of authority and clout, of executiveness that the Oval Office should display.
And this ain’t it.
One of two things are completely out of place in that room. Either the coffee table or the desk. The cynic in me suspects that the Obama’s would love nothing more than to have the desk shipped to a warehouse and replaced with something more updated, homey.
Maybe they ought to go to Office Max and buy a home office desk, eh?
