Several thoughts:
- Charlie Rangel isn’t bitter at all that his fellow-Democrats are throwing him to the wolves. No, not at all.
- It’s going to be fascinating to see whether the Democrats in Congress are going to have the nerve to acquit this guy before the November elections. The career-killing nerve.
- So… what are the odds that Barack Obama is ever going to let this man within hugging-with-a-cameraman-nearby range, ever again? 1 in 20? 1 in 65? Has David Axelrod sworn a private blood oath to fake a sudden brain tumor and do a sacrifice running tackle if the situation ever goes critical?
- Rosie O’Donnell is a Rangel supporter?
OK, that last one may have been kind of mean, but Rosie O’Donnell is a rampaging conspiracy theorist these days and the woman up on the podium is the sort of person who would be up on the podium for Charlie Rangel’s primary victory party, so I may kind of don’t care.
