Yeah, it seems like a soft win, given their “influence” comes from softball interviews with the royal family and serving as the propaganda wing for the state, but the Fox News morning team, Fox & Friends’ Brian Kilmeade, Steve Doocy, and Ainsley Earhardt have been named the “most influential in media” by Mediaite.
They apparently earned the title because the POTUS listens to them.
Of course he does. Fox News is 24/7 boot-licking and there is absolutely zero possibility Trump will ever be challenged by the bobbleheaded clingers of the network.
“The President of the United States regularly starts his day watching Fox & Friends and then tweets about whatever they cover, and however, they cover it,” Mediaite writes. “He promotes their show, tags them by name, and sings their praises. That alone makes [them] three of the most influential media people not just in the United States, but in the entire world.”
“Since they have captured the President’s attention – which often then gets tweeted and covered by the media – the topics they cover essentially set the national agenda for the rest of the day,” Mediaite writes. “That is influence like few other media figures have ever enjoyed.”
True. President Trump’s manic tweeting has propelled them to the top, as he has no real opinions of his own, based on the fact that he has no particular ideology, beyond self-promotion.
Praise him, get praised for praising him. That’s pretty much it.
The second most influential was Jeff Zucker, of CNN.
“Of all President Donald Trump’s media targets, perhaps no outlet has endured more of his unbridled fury than CNN, the network helmed by Jeff Zucker,” Mediaite writes. “And Zucker has refused to back down from the fight.”
He shouldn’t . Trump is a bully, and while he occasionally presides over a few praise-worthy moves (the recent tax bill win looks promising), he’s far too corrupt and ignorant of the limitations of his power to be left unchecked.
He won’t get that from Fox News.
He’s well aware that he could blow his nose in gym teacher’s handkerchief fashion on the podium during a speech and every Fox News personality would treat us to a week of poetic prose, dedicated to the ethereal glory of Trump’s mucous.
Trump took time to shoot out a congratulatory tweet this morning to the Fox & Friends cast.
Was @foxandfriends just named the most influential show in news? You deserve it – three great people! The many Fake News Hate Shows should study your formula for success!

As a side note, when you compare this tweet, which is in the manner of most of Trump’s tweets – ignorant and rambling – to some recent afternoon tweets, it’s real apparent that his team has been commandeering his Twitter account and trying to make him seem more in control and smarter than he is.
They need to get to him earlier.
