In the continuing drama surrounding former Breitbart reporter, Michelle Fields, and Donald Trump’s Lilliputian campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, things have taken an ominous turn.
Lewandowski was arrested and charged with simple battery on Tuesday, stemming from an incident earlier in the month, in which Fields charged that he grabbed her arm to pull her away from Trump, resulting in bruising to her forearm.
On Wednesday, Fields was forced to leave her D.C. home, due to safety concerns. In posting the arrest record, Fox News and Buzzfeed also included her home address and phone number.
From The Blaze:
The 28-year-old reporter said that because individuals were sending threats, she no longer felt safe staying at her apartment and had temporarily moved out.
After Fields brought it to the attention of Fox News and BuzzFeed, the outlets removed it from their websites.
Given the increasingly angry and violent nature of Trump rallies, and the well-documented chasm between Branch Trumpidians and rationality that is displayed in online forums, reports of their taking advantage of a breach in privacy to go after someone who has stood against a key figure in their cult are easy to believe.
Shame on Buzzfeed and shame on Fox News for putting Michelle Fields in this position.
