The US Air Force shot down an “unidentified object” over Alaska Friday. The announcement came in the daily press briefing by Pentagon spokesman John Kirby.
According to Kirby, the object was traveling at an altitude that possibly interfered with civilian air traffic. Kirby did not say what the object was but that it was shot down “out of an abundance of caution.”
This comes only a week after the Biden White House let a Chinese spy balloon gimp its way across North America, only reacting once it was over the Atlantic.
My two observations from this are that the White House must know that it suffered significant political damage after the last incident, and their stories about being concerned about balloon wreckage causing damage on the ground are just crap.
