It's incredible to believe that after more than three years, you still have the FBI trying to go after people for misdemeanors related to January 6, 2021. I don't think there's ever been a leftist riot in recent memory that has been treated in the same way. Indeed, in the wake of the riot against former President Donald Trump's inauguration on Jan. 20, 2017, most of the people got off and had charges dropped.
In more disturbing news, there's news that the FBI is going to charge The Blaze journalist Steve Baker on Friday. The thing that's even more unusual is that while they have been torturing him with the threat of possible prosecution all this time, they still wouldn't tell him what the charges are and what they are claiming he did. He covered the riot at the Capitol on Jan. 6 as an independent journalist.
Here's the video of Baker talking about it the last time they threatened him in Dec. 2023.
Baker's attorneys believe that this is a retaliation against him for his reporting about Jan. 6 that has embarrassed the DOJ. Among the stories that Baker has done has been calling into question the testimony of a member of Rep. Nancy Pelosi's security detail, Capitol Police Special Agent David Lazarus, and questions regarding the pipe bomb found at the DNC. The Blaze reported that the man who found that bomb was a Capitol Police officer, according to sources.
🚨BREAKING🧵- This time, it’s really happening.

Unlike the two previous threats my attorneys received from @FBI / @thejusticedept (Nov. 21 and Dec. 23), my self-surrender for alleged J6 crimes is set for this Friday morning in Dallas, TX. There is now a signed arrest warrant.⬇️
The prosecutor informed my attorney that I am to arrive at the @FBI field office wearing “shorts and sandals.” They didn’t have to go this route, as we've been told that my charges are non-violent misdemeanors.⬇️

We do not yet know the specific charges. Technically … they are still “under seal” until the warrant is served. All else is as yet unknown. By this weekend, I will officially be a misdemeanor domestic journo-terrorist. (Something like that.) And so it begins.⬇️
