Call this fallout from the defeat of Wisconsin Democrats; call it a wondrous example of political-themed poetry/music/parody songs THAT ACTUALLY SCANS; or just call it funny. Any way you look at it, this parody of John Denver’s “Country Roads” by Indiana legislators making (deserved) fun of their AWOL Democratic colleagues is worth watching. Via The Campaign Spot:

Maggie_in_Indiana (Diary) Thursday, March 10th at 12:42PM EST (link)Hoosiers are trying not to become Wisconsin, we’re a hospitiable lot not hositile a lot. Oh heavens the Tea Party meetings are a hoot too, until we get to the business of seeing the 23 bills killed that would have benefited some the retired teachers . Teri Austin my Rep. has many yard signs urging her to come home, some nice, some not so nice. The Dems have called this a game so in the light hearted response to that many hae decided to shame them with humor, for now.

Go Indiana!!! What a great attitude these legislators have. It is a striking contrast to the anger of the left.
Explanation of "two by two"
Mayhem (Diary) Thursday, March 10th at 12:47PM EST (link)For those outside of Indiana, for the past 3 weeks, Indiana Dems have been hiding out in Illinois, denying the GOP a quorum in the State House. In order to block the GOP from moving forward on legislation, the Dems have sent two of their members to the floor of the House to make objections and to offer the required second. Thus, they have been sending Democrats back to Indy on a “two by two” rotation.
James Madison, Jim DeMint, Margaret Thatcher, Ronald Reagan… You get the picture.

earlgrey (Diary) Thursday, March 10th at 1:29PM EST (link)although they seem to present only left points of view, that they are praising President Obama for speaking out against bullying. Isn’t that kind of a First Lady thing to do?
I believe that if he reallly wanted to make a stand on bullying, than he would address the threats and bullying in Wisconsin. If he really wanted more civilized dialogue he would not have waited for days to come out about the Tuscon shooting. If he cared about kids, he wouldn’t be saddling them with debt.
He is merely hiding behind this teen bullyiing thing so he can remotely look Presidential. I can’t believe people are taking this seriously. some people make me feel like maybe I’m like Charlie Sheen — from another planet.
Are these criticisms i made fair or too far?
Wonderful, absolutely wonderful!!!
lineholder (Diary) Thursday, March 10th at 2:08PM EST (link)For so many years, Democrats have been “controlling the narrative”. It’s been like a poison to the spirit of this nation, draining away all the exuberance, enthusiasm and love of this country.
But at long last, this is changing. When the plot is ripe, the power of the words that are used to mislead and deceive begins to wane.
I can hear the sound of the sweet spirit of freedom through the laughter shared in this song.
May God bless these folks for this.
Awesome, and catchy!

Excellent example by the IN Republicans. they should make sure this goes viral and gets played on all the local radio stations and covered on all the local news casts.
