Meet Scott Bruun (R CAND, OR-05).

Scott’s running a campaign that’s making the DCCC nervous – to the point where they’ve decided to throw money at his opponent as part of their DOOMList – and we spoke this morning about that and other matters.

Scott’s site is here, and it’s a measure of the cycle that we’re legitimately talking about taking seats in Oregon. Roll on November…

I am glad their was not a bitter primary here it cost us seat 2 years ago

I think we can win this seat and I believe Rob Cornilles is going to knock off Wu too

What a difference 2 years makes

Two years ago I had the choice of two guys that I didn’t want to see win.

This time we had the reverse problem. We had 5 good candidates. Scott Brunn is truly a top notch candidate that I’d be proud to call my representative.

Scott has raised 490K and after winning his primary has 178K in bank–not too shabby.

If he is not top tier he is close to it.

I think that my asking that particular last question...

…will have to be cycled out until after the election. I have limited time for these and we need to get these folks on the record as to what they’re going to do.

OK Moe, gotta get the name pronunciation right

It is NOT Ore-gone (as in Schrader will hopefully be gone after this election). It’s Ory-gun (think 2nd amendment when you pronounce it). That’s one quick way to tick off Oregonians.

Fair enough, but I have an excuse.

I was concentrating on making sure that I was pronouncing Bruun’s last name properly.
