As I begin this article, less than an hour remains before embattled Joe Biden shuffles to the podium in the House of Representatives to deliver his — much anticipated by some and much feared by others — 2024 State of the Union Address. I can only imagine the distressed Democrat mindset as I write.
With warnings of a coming armageddon if Donald Trump wins in November, Democrat lawmakers and their left-wing media sock puppets are already in hyperbolic meltdown and have been making ridiculous fools out of themselves 24x7 since the former president's Super Tuesday blowout and the final demise of his lone challenger Nikki Haley's campaign.
As I reported earlier on Thursday, CNN fearmonger extraordinaire Van Jones warned that a Trump win would lead to "Russian tanks rolling through Europe," the end of NATO, and the opening of the gates of hell. OK, I made up the "gates of hell" part, but you get the picture.
Not to be outdone by CNN, MSNBC trotted out its resident presidential historian Michael Beschloss — another delusional Trump loather — to offer his genius preview of Biden's SOTUS. His bottom line? If Trump wins the election, America "could be a dictatorship next year."

MSNBC host Andrea Mitchell eagerly kicked off the festivities.
Michael, take a big picture, zoom out for us on what's at stake for him tonight. You point to FDR’s Four Freedoms speech in 1941, obviously wartime, a bigger challenge, but let's, you know, talk about the challenges tonight.
So just the idiotic nod to FDR's "Four Freedoms" speech in 1941, in some twisted link to Biden's 2024 SOTUS, was laughable. If the freedoms of America are at stake, they're at stake due to the intentional policies of Joe Biden and his equally disastrous administration — not Donald Trump.
Nevertheless, Beschloss savored every minute of it — and he beclowned the ever-loving hell out of his TDS-riddled self (emphasis, mine) every step of the way.
Well, this is a real historical moment. We could be a dictatorship next year if Donald Trump is elected and carries through on his threats and carries through on his threats to suspend the Constitution. That's what's at stake.
So Joe Biden could finesse it and talk about other things or he could confront the elephant in the room and say, you know, "This is a year when we Americans have to choose whether we're going to live as a democracy, as a republic, or as an authoritarian system."
Stop the tape.
Michael Beschloss, and every other left-winger who says it, has a better chance of teaching a pigeon to speak French than Donald Trump does of suspending the Constitution — and he knows it.
That's what FDR was doing in 1941, Nazis, fascists, Imperial Japanese were rampaging around the world, and he said "you Americans have to choose and also, for you Americans who think that we need to be fascist at home to compete with other fascist governments," which a lot of people were saying, he said we need these four freedoms. Freedom from want and fear, freedom of speech and religion.
As I wrote in another article earlier on Thursday, the above nonsense is unworthy of serious analysis.

The Bottom Line
Desperate people do and say desperate things. But when desperate, hopelessly predisposed people reduce themselves to unbridled hatred to the point of losing all capability of rational thought, it's dangerous — particularly when low-information people listen to the bitter bile they spew and believe every bit of it.
Meanwhile, we have an election to win in November.
