DEI Will Never Work Until the E Stands for Example

Continuing a look at DEI’s fundamental flaws, an examination of how the E — equity — myth helps no one, hurts everyone, and must be replaced by example for DEI to have any value suggests itself.

Equity is the ultimate fool star, doubling as a death star for anyone wishing on the same. It suggests the possibility of guaranteed equal outcomes regardless of competition or competitors, something impossible to achieve. Unlike timed sports, life cannot end in a tie. Equity declares nature’s fundamental law, namely the survival of the fittest, can be superseded by humanity’s childish dream of fairness and unobtainable harmony. At its core, equity believes humanity can reach a God-like level of blessed sameness, refusing to acknowledge the only genuine sameness humanity holds is that mentioned in Romans when Paul wrote, “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”

Earlier to this statement in Romans, Paul laid out some hard truths about how human nature makes equity an even greater impossibility.

Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done. They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; they have no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy. Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.

Equity is the pathway guaranteeing everyone simultaneously reaches the bottom.

It is unwise to cede language control to the left. That said, the left can have equity, as it is a falsehood. We can and should reclaim the DEI acronym, replacing diversity with discipline and equity with example. Again, referring to Scripture:

Start children off on the way they should go,
and even when they are old they will not turn from it.

I use example instead of education. Although, as earlier noted, we should never allow the left to define or defile words away from their traditionally assigned meaning, at this time, the besmirchment of the word "education" by public schools and higher learning establishments leaning so hard to the left they are presently borderline unrepairable renders it as one best avoided.

Also, example is education. The truism that experience is the best teacher remains unchallenged.

To be an example demands being a leader—leading by doing. True leadership destroys the false narrative that the liberal interpretation and implementation of DEI is necessary via actively combating racism not through self-loathing but by seeing past skin pigmentation into the character of every individual: the heart, mind, and soul of a person who, like all of us, is in utter need of God’s grace regardless of whether he or she acknowledges this fact. All of us should lead by example and, in doing so, demolish the DEI lie as we replace diversity with discipline and equity with example.
