Progressives Experience Utter Meltdown Because of What Melania Trump Wore to Rosalynn Carter's Memorial

The memorial service for former First Lady Rosalynn Carter was held on Tuesday, and instead of acknowledging her legacy, some on the left decided to search desperately for something to get angry at. Enter Melania Trump, who once again became a target for their hatred over her choice of dress at the event.

Some on the left took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to whine about Melania’s decision to wear a black and white speckled jacket over her black dress while attending the event, claiming it was somehow disrespectful or something.

Of course, the outrage over Melania’s fashion choice is about as authentic as plant-based meat. The reality is that the former First Lady committed the unpardonable sin of being married to former President Donald Trump, so these people have to figure out a reason to pretend to be upset at her.

How do we know the outrage is fake? For starters, it’s coming from left-wing social media hacks, so there’s that. But also, there was another former First Lady who did not wear black at another memorial service. That’s right, the beloved Hillary Clinton wore a similar colored coat at former First Lady Barbara Bush’s memorial service.

This is not the first time the left has lost its collective mind over Melania’s fashion choices. Back in 2018, she boarded her plane on the way to visit detained immigrant children in Texas wearing a green jacket that read, “I really don’t care. Do U?”

Naturally, it became a huge news story because the elite media is rotten garbage. Melania later acknowledged that the jacket was a message to the press:

"It's obvious I didn't wear the jacket for the children, I wore the jacket to go on the plane and off the plane," she said.

"It was for the people and for the left-wing media who are criticising me. I want to show them I don't care. You could criticise whatever you want to say. But it will not stop me to do what I feel is right."

Mrs Trump criticised the media for being "obsessed" about her clothing.

"I often asking myself, if I had not worn that jacket, if I will have so much media coverage," she said, adding: "I would prefer they would focus on what I do and on my initiatives than what I wear."

In the grand scheme of things, Melania’s wardrobe decisions are low on most people’s list of priorities. But this episode shows once again that when it comes to leftist influencers, anything related to the Orange Man What Is Bad™ is going to be triggering.
