After calling out Russia and Iran for their complicity in Bashar Al Assad’s slaughtering of civilians with chemical weapons on Twitter it is now reported that the President will be briefed on a list of possible targets in Syria.

Almost a year ago today Trump faced the same decision and ultimately fired 59 Tomahawk Cruise Missiles at Bashar Al Assad. Clearly, it wasn’t enough to deter Assad from repeating the atrocity. Any assurances to remove the weapons offered by Moscow should laughed at and/or met with outright contempt. The world has seen how much assurance Russia can offer the international community.
Obama already made the mistake of trusting Moscow to make good on that assurance, a move that will forever haunt his legacy.

The brand of security Russia is offering the world is unacceptable and they have shown they are unable to be “guarantors” with any kind of reliability. The State Department said last night and Ambassador Nikki Haley will echo it tomorrow at The United Nations, ” It has betrayed the Chemical Weapons Convention and UN Security Council Resolution 2118.”
It is going to be a long night for Moscow and Assad.
