If you were one of the top Senators in the Democratic party, then surely you’d be able to name at least a few of the accomplishments of the current front running Democratic candidate for President.
Apparently not Democratic Senator Dianne Feinstein from California, who had trouble recalling much in the way of Hillary Clinton’s long list of successes.
“Golly, I forget what bills she’s been part of or authored.” she told the SanFrancisco Chronicle. “I didn’t really come prepared to discuss this, but she’s been a good senator. There are things outside of bills that you can do, and I know that she’s done them for her state.”
As groan inducing as this statement from Feinstein is, she can can hardly be blamed for not being able to recall a high point in Clinton’s long, impeccable record. To be fair, not many in politics can recall, off the top of their head, much of Clinton’s activity during her time as a senator from New York.
That’s why Feinstein, who has endorsed Clinton, asked an aid to “get on Google” to check it out.
Feinstein argued that Clinton was not in office long enough to accomplish much of anything, as she was swept away from her New York senate seat and put into the position of Secretary of State by President Obama. Of course, no thing really comes to mind on what Clinton achieved during her time in that office either, and that includes Hillary Clinton.
I’m sure with enough time with Google one can find an accomplishment that goes beyond “got elected,” but for a Democratic figurehead who is cheerleading for a Democratic Presidential hopeful, this is just embarrassing, and doesn’t look good on Clinton at all. Little does as of late, but as we’ve seen during this election season, embarrassment doesn’t seem to set anyone back. Just as the GOP front runner.
