More updates at the bottom of the post.
Original story:
In Orlando Florida, approximately 20 people have been killed and by the most recent estimate 42 injured in a shooting at a gay nightclub called The Pulse. UPDATE: At 10:20 this morning, the official death toll was raised to 50, with 53 injured.
From BearingArms:
The attack began at approximately 2:20 AM, where an individual opened fire on club-goers, apparently both inside and outside the club. An officer on the scene providing security for the club engaged the terrorist. As other law enforcement officers responded, the terrorist retreated back inside the club and took hostages.
As news has unfolded, a possible motive has been identified but not confirmed. Initial reports labeled the shooting “domestic terror” but recent reports on social media as well as the major networks including CNN state that the FBI believes the attack may be linked to Islamic Jihad.
