As we reported earlier, Columbia University had exhausted negotiations with protesting students and set a 2 p.m. deadline for the students behind the encampment there to pull up stakes or face disciplinary action.

The deadline has now come and gone, with the students saying they wouldn't move without force. So it looks like it's time to fish or cut bait for the university.

As we noted, the school has identified the students in the encampment so they know who to go after and discipline. If they didn't sign out with the school from the protest by 2 p.m., they were going to be on the hook, the administration said. But the response of the protesters to the schools' notices to vacate the area was not good and doesn't bode well for the future.

Multiple people posted about the alleged response to the university including "I ain't reading all that" and "Columbia will burn."

That surely sounds like a threat. Is the university going to take this seriously? Or are they just going to be rolled over by these characters again? This is getting past ridiculous at this point when they do things like this.

No, they're not "anti-war." They're calling for the fall of Israel and "intifada." What does the administration think that means? How do they think they're going to go on with this chaos occupying everything?

If Columbia doesn't get a handle on this soon, this is going to descend into something very bad; it's already well on its way because they have let this go on for so long. When you show weakness, the left will walk all over you, and that's what's happening here because Columbia is run by ineffective and weak liberals. Just another example of how that kind of weakness doesn't work.
