So let’s count all the ways that Donald Trump has proven himself to be a dangerously awful choice for the presidency.

In just the past week, he’s openly advocated for taking due process rights away from American citizens and gun grabbing. He’s happily suggested he will be starting a Smoot-Hawley fashioned trade war (so much for any gains from the tax reform bill), and now this.

While speaking to wealthy Florida donors in the ballroom of Mar-a-Lago on Saturday, the septuagenarian nightmare cackled, joked, and fumed over everything from his resentment over how he feels he was unfairly scrutinized during the 2016 election (as opposed to how Hillary was treated), to his approval of China’s Xi Jinping grabbing power from the people and appointing himself president for life.

Yes. His approval.

CNN claims to have obtained audio of Trump’s speech.

“I’m telling you, it’s a rigged system folks,” Trump said. “I’ve been saying that for a long time. It’s a rigged system. And we don’t have the right people in there yet. We have a lot of great people, but certain things, we don’t have the right people.”

And is Hillary happy with her life? Trump is obsessed with her, apparently. He won, but he can’t quit her.

“Is Hillary a happy person? Do you think she’s happy?” he said. “When she goes home at night, does she say, ‘What a great life?’ I don’t think so. You never know. I hope she’s happy.”

We all know she’s not happy with her life. If she were, she’d go away. That being said, Trump is doing as much as she is to keep her in the spotlight.

He also attacked George W. Bush, as he has often done.

Bush has been out of office for a decade, but in whatever place of mania Trump was blathering on from, he had to drag the former president there with him.

“Here we are, like the dummies of the world, because we had bad politicians running our country for a long time,” he said.

Trump called the Iraq invasion “the single worst decision ever made” and said it amounted to “throwing a big fat brick into a hornet’s nest.”

“That was Bush. Another real genius. That was Bush,” Trump said sarcastically. “That turned out to be wonderful intelligence. Great intelligence agency there.”

Yeah, but at least he didn’t suggest grabbing guns and circumventing due process.

This particular bit of grousing was as much to strike out at the U.S. intelligence community as it was to insult Bush.

Trump refuses to believe – or at least admit, openly – that Russia meddled in the 2016 election, yet, the intelligence community is unanimous in their belief that this thing did happen.

For that, Trump requires that they be discredited, and you really have to wonder why it’s so important to him to see his nation’s intelligence community driven down.

It shouldn’t be a shock, however. Trump’s man-crush on Putin is well-documented. In fact, while Putin was pounding his chest over the new, defense-proof weaponry Russia has supposedly developed, Trump was his meek subservient. Rather than giving an answer to Putin’s puffing, Trump chose to get in a Twitter battle with an actor.

Priorities.

And speaking of Communist dictators, what was Trump’s response to China’s Xi Jinping ending presidential term limits and making himself president for life?

(Yes, it’s ok to call that dictatorship.)

Like I said earlier, he approves.

Speaking with his donors, he actually went to a really scary place, considering all he’s already suggested this past week.

In the closed-door remarks, a recording of which was obtained by CNN, Trump also praised China’s President Xi Jinping for recently consolidating power and extending his potential tenure, musing he wouldn’t mind making such a maneuver himself.

“He’s now president for life. President for life. And he’s great,” Trump said. “And look, he was able to do that. I think it’s great. Maybe we’ll give that a shot some day.”

Think again, you dull witted oaf.

While the base would gladly pervert the design of a constitutional republic, in order to accommodate their king, I dare say there are far more who would gladly arm up – a well-armed militia, with the intent to prevent men such as Donald Trump from carrying out their destructive aims.

As Patrick Henry said – “If ever the time should come, when vain & aspiring men shall possess the highest Seats in government, our country will stand in need of its experienced patriots to prevent its ruin.”

Indeed.

And it’s not even that he can do what he seems to be thinking about.

He can’t.

It’s that he’s thinking about it, at all. That is dangerous.
