Oops: Chuck Schumer Invites MLB All-Star Game to NY, but Then Facts About the State Get Dropped

As we’ve previously reported, President Biden, White House press secretary Jen Psaki, and other Biden officials are outright lying about Georgia’s new voting law, so much so that even Democrat-friendly fact-checkers are not letting them get away with it.

The Biden administration’s falsehoods and those of failed 2018 Georgia Democratic gubernatorial nominee Stacey Abrams have now cost the state the Major League Baseball All-Star game, which was yanked Friday just two days after Biden said he would “strongly support” them doing so.

In the true “never let a crisis go to waste” form Democrats are known for, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) took to the Twitter machine Saturday to slam Georgia’s allegedly “racist” voting law and to invite Major League Baseball to move their All-Star game to his state:

Racist voter suppression laws are now hurting Georgia's voters AND its economy.

Georgia Republicans should be ashamed.

Except if sports leagues and corporations are going to boycott states with super-restrictive voting laws, then New York might be the last place they want to move their business to, as Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp and many others explained:

New York has nine days of early voting. Georgia has a minimum of 17, with an additional two Sundays as an option for every county.

New York requires an excuse to vote absentee. Georgia does not.

Former Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker weighed in as well and noted the hypocrisy of Schumer’s position:

Twitter user AG Hamilton also compared New York’s laws to Georgia’s, and which state is more restrictive is more than obvious:

Also, if Georgia’s laws as they were prior to this year were so restrictive, as Stacey Abrams and others have suggested, why was their turnout better than NYs in 2020?

File that one under “questions Democrats will never answer” (one of MANY when it comes to this debate).

The blue state of New York is not the only Democrat-run state that doesn’t make voting as easily accessible for its residents as Georgia does. As former NJ Gov. Chris Christie pointed out this weekend, in addition to New York, New Jersey is not exactly a model state on the core Democrat issue of early voting:

Well, Stacey Abrams, by the way, Stacey Abrams was in New Jersey, in my state, praising Phil Murphy this week for a voting law where New Jersey early voting is nine days. Half, half of what Georgia is.

Yet she’s on TV in New Jersey — I saw it myself — saying that this is one of the greatest voting expansion bills we’ve ever seen, but this is Jim Crow? I’m sorry, George.

Kemp, in a speech he gave Saturday in response to the MLB’s move, also noted that Joe Biden’s home state of Delaware does not currently allow early voting and they do not have “no-excuse” absentee voting. Georgia does both:

“Not to mention that his own home state of Delaware has no early voting and requires an excuse to vote absentee. But is Stacey Abrams calling these states and their antiquated election laws ‘Jim Crow 2.0’? No. Because for her and the partisan activists who support her, it’s about raising money and attaining more power.”

That is indeed what this is all about. And Republicans in Georgia must not let voters forget what Democrats are trying to do here, which is to keep the state blue by using any means necessary, including costing the state jobs and money by telling lies about its laws.
