There was quite a bit of misreporting Wednesday from supposedly reputable news outlets about the brief suspension of the Trump campaign’s Twitter account. For example, the Washington Post erroneously reported it was President Trump’s account that was suspended.

But one thing I didn’t see get any mentions whatsoever in follow-up reports from the media was the fact that the Twitter spokesman who announced and explained the decision to “require removal” of a tweet from the Trump campaign used to be the press secretary for Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) back when she was California’s attorney general.

Twitter senior comms director Nick Pacilio, who made the announcement below, worked for Harris for four years according to his LinkedIn profile.

One doesn’t even need to leave Twitter to find out this information. Pacilio notes in his Twitter bio that he is a “former @KamalaHarris press sec.”

In addition to proudly noting he used to work for Harris, Pacilio’s Twitter page is full of retweets of Democratic messaging, like this one:

He also occasionally retweets posts from Brian Stelter’s liberally biased sidekick Oliver Darcy. Even if Pacilio was not a former spox for Harris, that alone would tell you quite a bit.

Considering all the discussions and debates, Congressional hearings and the like that have gone on over the last four years between Democrats and Republicans about the political biases of the people who run popular social media platforms like Twitter and Facebook, you’d think the mainstream media would note fact that Pacilio used to work for a woman who is reportedly one of the two “finalists” on Joe Biden’s vice presidential running mate list, right?

We know if the situations were reversed and the Biden campaign’s Twitter account suspension was announced by someone who used to work for a high-profile Republican who was in the running for a VP nomination, it would be front-page news everywhere and questions would be raised as to whether or not the decision was politically motivated. In fact, House Democrats would probably schedule an immediate hearing on the matter.

But because the one on the receiving end of the suspension was the Trump campaign, and because the people making the decisions about whether or not to force them to delete the alleged coronavirus “misinformation” are unabashed Democrats, there will be no hearings, no week-long discussion on “Reliable Sources” about whether it was done for political reasons, no fretting from “concerned” journalists about What This All Means, etc.

Move along, nothing to see here. Just another day at the office for our liberally biased media and the leftist social media giants who think along the same lines as the reporters who “report” on them.
