Dana Carvey Makes Late Night Comedy Great Again With Spot-on Hilarious Take on Biden

Hollywood comedians seem to have forgotten how to be funny when it comes to liberal politicians. Jimmy Kimmel, for example, has long since given up on the concept, becoming instead simply a mouthpiece for the Democrats and whatever their latest narrative is. He even “interviewed” Joe Biden where Biden descended into delusion, pushing false claims on his show.

But Kimmel had former Saturday Night Live legend Dana Carvey stand in for him and Carvey was willing to mock Joe Biden with some real comedy when Kimmel is not.

First, he did some of his funny old impressions like George H.W. Bush (“not gonna do it”) and the Church Lady.

Then he took some shots at Biden’s fist bump meeting with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS).

“A lot of people are mad with President Biden because of the way he greeted the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia,” the comedian shared. “You know Biden called him a ‘Pariah’ and as recently as last month said he wouldn’t even meet with him. But this weekend there they were broing it out.”

Carvey then started joking about Biden speaking to the crown prince, “‘How’s it hanging? Oh, how’s it hanging under that robe?’”

“Joe got a lot of flak for this, but I think we’re looking at this the wrong way, because if you slow it down and watch it again I think Biden was actually trying to punch MBS,” the Hollywood legend said. “Look. He’s going in for the jab. ‘Yeah, how bout a knuckle sandwich. C’mon! Kadink!’”

But then he had a spot-on take of Joe Biden, including mocking Biden’s use of “no joke,” his whispering then yelling, and his general incoherence.

“And he’s always repeating the story, ‘Yeah went to Scranton. Grew up in Scranton, Pennsylvania. My dad. My dad lost his job. No joke. I’m not kidding around here.’” Carvey said, “No human being in the world thinks that’s a joke. Nobody.”

“And then he would do the number thing,” Carvey explained. “‘Number one, the one part. Number two, what the guy said. Number three, you know the drill.’ No, we don’t.”

“Now what he does is he kind of whispers and then yells,” Carvey mocked him. “When he’s like, ‘We know how to get natural gas’ [whispering]. ‘Cause we can get it [shouting].’”

Then he finished off Biden’s incoherence, ranting, “Pirates of the Caribbean” at the end.

But Carvey shows how you can be funny and still point out some of Biden’s issues in a way that everyone who has ever watched Biden can get and laugh at. That’s what comedy is supposed to be about, not just being nasty like Kimmel. This kind of thing is what we need more of and seeing it from Carvey and some of his old characters reveals how far away we have gotten from when the late night was funny.
