Whoops: CNN Political Commentator Coordinated With J6 Committee on Cassidy Hutchinson Testimony

I asked a question in a prior story — how did the Jan. 6 Committee come to know about Cassidy Hutchinson’s wild #SteeringWheelGate story and other testimony that she told this week?

After all, she had previously testified before the Committee — and said nothing about this.

Think about this for a second. She had the “bombshells” she has claimed this week, but somehow none of that came up in her prior testimony? How odd.

Now, she has claimed all this stuff, but President Donald Trump said she was trying to work for him after he left office in Florida. Funny that didn’t come up during the Jan. 6 hearing. So how does that fit with the story she’s trying to tell now? It doesn’t.

But now there’s information on how Hutchinson and her stories came to the attention of the Committee. CNN political commentator Alyssa Farah Griffin, who used to work for the Trump White House and now is working for CNN, said on the air that she knew Hutchinson and put her in touch with Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY).

“A couple months ago, I put her in touch with Congresswoman Cheney,” Farah said. “She got a new lawyer and that’s how this testimony came about.”

John Berman asked Farah to elaborate, and she replied that Hutchinson was one of several former White House staffers who at first had a lawyer assigned to her from “Trump World.” Farah added that Hutchinson’s original legal representative was “someone who had been in the White House counsel’s office,” and “still aligned with Trump World” when she gave her first interviews to the committee.

“She did her interview, she complied with the committee, but she shared with me ‘There is more I want to share that was not asked in those settings. How do we do this?’” Farah said. “In that process, she got a new attorney of her own. Congresswoman Cheney had a sense of what questions needed to be asked that weren’t previously. So that’s how this shocking testimony that people didn’t realize before kind of came about, and it didn’t come up in her earlier interview, some of those facts.”

They tried to make something out of the fact that she had a lawyer from “Trump World” but that isn’t unusual as even liberal attorney Brad Moss acknowledged. What’s unusual is why she had a “Trump” lawyer if she had a bad opinion of him previously? This raises even more questions about her.

Moreover, why didn’t CNN acknowledge this coordination before as they were reporting on this case? You have one of their political commentators coordinating with the Committee over a witness’s testimony. How concerning is that? “Congresswoman Cheney had a sense of what questions needed to be asked?” How would Cheney know what to ask — if she didn’t know what Hutchinson was going to say?

Meanwhile, you had the head of the Secret Service saying the Committee didn’t even do their basic due diligence to contact them to try to corroborate this. CNN wants to talk and pump up Hutchinson. But, as far as I know, Hutchinson isn’t still officially working in government and she’s saying what the Democrats who are in power want to hear. If she’s lying, she’s not in any danger of any prosecution from them. Meanwhile, these Secret Service agents are still working in government — under the biased government of Joe Biden — it’s their credibility and they could face all kinds of actions from the Biden team. It’s incredibly brave of them to say what they are saying and to offer to testify — yet again — to respond to this wild story.

So where is the Committee action to call them to testify? The Committee members are trying to salvage what they can on television but so far, they’re not calling the agents back to testify. The Committee’s actions reveal their intentions.
