Dad Who Pranked Joe Biden Says It's Important to 'Voice Disapproval'

We’ve done a fair amount of coverage on the story of Jared Schmeck — how he managed to troll Joe Biden during a NORAD Santa-tracking call that he and his kids had with Joe and Jill Biden on Christmas Eve by slipping in a “Let’s go, Brandon” at the end of the call.

This caused a meltdown from folks on the left claiming it was somehow so offensive, with many of these folks being the very same folks who, for years, had called President Donald Trump every name under the sun and uttered all types of calumny against him. They weren’t disturbed by “Let’s go, Brandon.” They were more disturbed that Biden repeated it and agreed with it, showing how completely out of it he was. For the sin of revealing how broken Joe Biden was, folks on the left then resolved to doxx the man and destroy his life. He’s received threats and people have been trying to hurt his family’s business. They’ve now made public all kinds of information about him, even publishing his address in Oregon. Twitter did not shut any of this down from what I can tell even as they went for at least two days trying to doxx everything about him to hurt him.

On top of all that, the media then acted as though it was justified to go after this guy and try to take him down. CNN and MSNBC even had people claim that him saying that to Biden was tantamount to insurrection. Not only is that insane but it’s about trying to shut down any criticism of Biden and making those who dare to do it pay. It’s very Soviet in approach. Any questioning of the government will be squashed and people crushed, just for making a joke.

But although Schmeck has been facing a lot of backlash from the left, it turns out he’s not backing down from what he said. He appeared on Steve Bannon’s podcast and indicated he said it to “voice his disapproval” of Biden’s actions.

Schmeck said he wanted to clear up a mistaken impression left in some of the interviews where he was quoted as saying he was “not a Trumper.” He made it clear that yes, he was supportive of President Donald Trump, and in fact, he wore a “Make America Great Again” hat during the interview with Bannon.

Schmeck said the backlash made him feel as though his free speech was being threatened. He said that it was said in a “joking manner” but that it was also a “serious thing” that he had a chance “right now to voice my disapproval of this man and his administration.” He made the point that media has completely glossed over in every report on the saying of “Let’s go, Brandon,” including regarding his story — that it’s about more than just “F**k Joe Biden,” that it is about the frustration with Biden, the administration, the leftist mob, and the cancel culture. “The mainstream media, they’re the ones who made this thing,” Schmeck said referring to the saying. He also mentioned he thought Trump had won the election and it was stolen. He spoke about the debacle in Afghanistan and chastised the media for not talking about it anymore, despite people still being trapped there. He spoke about the supply chain issues, inflation rates, Biden’s “terrible policies on abortion,” the border crisis, and the federal vaccine mandates.

It looks like Schmeck has decided to fight fire with fire and if they’re going to attack him, he’s going to own his criticism of Biden and stand behind it. It’s important to stand up for that right to peacefully criticize our leaders because if we cannot we truly do start down a very bad path, especially if you also have liberal media working to demonize criticism.
