Anderson Cooper Makes Insane Claim About Capitol Riot, but Guess Where He Got It From

How set are liberal media and other Democrats on continuing to spread hyperbole about the Capitol riot on Jan. 6?

Not to mention demonizing any Republicans who questioned election integrity?

There were two golden examples of how crazy the left has gotten over it, as they try to press the narrative.

Here’s a delusional MSNBC guest, Rachel Bitecofer, political scientist, claiming that we are “watching democracy collapse.”

“It is kind of like being attacked in Pearl Harbor. We had Pearl Harbor. We’ve been living through it.”

Um, no. That’s lunacy. Not even close, and how dare you? 2,403 Americans were killed and 1,178 others wounded in the sneak attack. It precipitated us getting into World War II, in which even more Americans were killed, but in which we defeated our enemies who had attacked us. Don’t even go there. This is not just hyperbole, but rank rejection of history and reality. This is a “political scientist?” Not to mention, exactly how did any of this make our “democracy collapse?”

But, at least this delusional person isn’t given a regular national platform to spew crazy.

Like CNN has given Anderson Cooper. Cooper declared that it’s the worst act of political violence in the 150 years since the Civil War, and that President Donald Trump incited it.

So, Cooper is ignoring Pearl Harbor, the 9/11 terrorist attack that took almost 3,000 lives and led us into war in response, and the political violence over the past year from the BLM and Antifa that involved multiple attacks on local and federal governments. He’s ignoring the Bernie Bro who shot up the GOP baseball practice, hitting Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA) and almost costing him his life, and hitting three other people as well. They were targeted for assassination because they were Republicans that the Democrats had demonized over healthcare.

Not to mention attacks on the Capitol that included bombings, and things like this 1954 assassination attempt where three political terrorists shot up the House chamber, wounding 5 representatives.

How about the assassination of John F. Kennedy? Or the bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City, which killed 168 Americans?

Not only that, Cooper didn’t limit it to this country, so we could add a lot of other political terror from world wars, concentration camps, gulags, the Cultural Revolution, that he’s ignoring.

I could keep listing more things, but you get the idea.

Cooper’s claim defies reality and should get a boatload of Pinocchios, if there was any justice from fact-checkers.

Cooper also leaves out a pretty important thing — that Trump encouraged people to act peacefully and patriotically on Jan. 6.

But, where did this claim about the worst act of political violence since the Civil War come from? It came from someone who may have a greater platform to spread bull than does Anderson Cooper (particularly with CNN’s crashing ratings). It came, slightly amended, from Joe Biden.

Biden said during his address to Congress in April that the Capitol riot was the “worst attack on democracy since the Civil War.”

Is it at all surprising that CNN and other liberal media just parrot the Biden line? No, it’s just one more example of how they are essentially Democrat stenographers, not objective journalists or anywhere close to being grounded in reality. Trump’s no longer in office, but he’s still all they talk about.
