Biden Staffer Tries to Block Ted Cruz From Taking Video of Conditions at CBP Facility, Cruz Busts Her on Camera

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) and the rest of the congressional delegation were sending out pictures and videos of what they had been observing at the border, as well as at the CBP facilities and holding areas.

The pictures and videos showed everything from cartels at the river to the overcrowded CBP facilities that were turning into a humanitarian crisis because of the overflow.

Apparently, that was too much for the Biden team.

Cruz was taking video inside the Donna, Texas, facility. Reports are that the Donna facility is packed far beyond capacity, with 700 people in pods meant for 80, according to one of the members of the delegation.

But, as they were trying to show that on the video, a person whom Cruz identified as a Biden staffer tried to block him, Cruz explained this morning on “Sunday Morning Futures.”

The staffer says, “Please give dignity to the people, please give dignity to the people. Please respect the people, the rules.” This, she says without any sense of irony or apparent shame about the Biden “rules” and policies causing this problem and not giving anyone “dignity,” keeping people packed together into cages like sardines in bad conditions during a pandemic. She doesn’t want Americans to see that the “humane” way that Biden has claimed that he’s responding to this all is just a flat-out lie.

This is part of the Congress’ responsibility for congressional oversight; they have a right to be there. It’s not like they are showing any faces on this video. So, this was just about trying to prevent people from seeing the crowded nature of the facility, with people almost on top of each other.

Cruz busted the staffer’s intent on the video.

From Fox News:

“So you work for the commissioner, you’re a senior adviser, you were hired two weeks ago and you’re instructed to ask us to not have any pictures taken here because the political leadership at DHS does not want the American people to know it,” Cruz said.

“Please don’t treat the people as such,” the staffer responded.

“Your policies are unfortunately trying to hide them. I understand that you were instructed,” Cruz said. “I respect them, and I want to fix this situation, and the administration that you work for is responsible for these conditions.”

Cruz explained:

“The Donna facility where that video you just showed was taken, the Donna facility is this giant tent city that they’ve built. It’s massive. It’s designed to hold a thousand people but under Covid restrictions, its capacity is 250. It right now has over 4,000 people in it. It is at a 1,500% capacity and that meant you saw in these cages children, little boys and little girls, side by side, they’re not 6-feet apart,” Cruz said on Sunday.

Cruz explained that the children were ultimately testing positive for the Wuhan coronavirus at roughly a 10% rate. So, in addition to all the other issues, this was spreading the virus.

They want to keep denying there’s a crisis and cutting off media from what’s happening. But it’s only going to get worse — and they can’t stop the information from getting out.
